More than a game—mission trips.
why do we do this?
Beyond our on-field accomplishments, our program emphasizes a strong sense of community and service. This blend of competitive spirit and a focus on faith and service defines the unique and enriching culture of APU Women’s Soccer.
Colombia
2024
Our playing and serving trip to Colombia was an unforgettable experience! For many of our players, it was their first time traveling outside the country. Over the course of 10 days, we trained, played matches, and served alongside the incredible people of Colombia. Partnering with Costdecol, a Christian sports ministry that serves children in the city, we had the opportunity to visit local neighborhoods, coach teams, and encourage both players and coaches. We played three matches against local women’s teams and a 9v9 game against the Costdecol coaches. During the trip, two players gave their lives to Jesus, and two players along with our trainer were baptized. This journey was truly life-changing for many of our players and coaching staff, leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved.
PLAYER EXPERIENCE
“Medellin, Colombia was an unforgettable experience. During my time there, I got to glorify God by sharing my passion for soccer. From meeting new people to seeing new things, I not only learned so much about a new culture, but got the opportunity to see the goodness and beauty of God and his people.”

mexico
2019 & 2022
We’ve had the privilege of serving in Mexico twice, and each trip continues to bless us in incredible ways. Partnering with a children’s home, our mission is to love on the children and staff through soccer, games, service projects, and meal prep. Soccer provides an instant bond, and the kids teach us far more than we could ever teach them. Every trip leaves us with a fresh perspective, a deeper understanding of our faith, and a sense of encouragement—plus, we always get to enjoy the best tacos we’ve ever had!
PLAYER EXPERIENCE
“Mexico showed me that soccer was much more than a sport, but a tool to bring people together even when there was a language barrier. We were able to show Gods love not through words but with our actions whether it was helping in the kitchen or playing soccer with the kids.”
